Abstract
Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation is vital for wireless communication and especially in low Signal to Noise ratio scenarios. In this article we introduce a refined DOA estimation method by combining eigenvalue reconstruction of noise subspace and Toeplitz preprocessing with the MUSIC algorithm. The proposed technique enhances the uniformity of the noise subspace and improves the algorithm resolution. Extensive simulations reveal that the proposed method surpasses both the standard MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) and Reconstruction of Eigenvalues in noise Subspace (MUSIC_ER) techniques. Notably, our approach exhibits enhanced performance in terms of root mean square error (RMSE) across the entire SNR range from -10dB to 15 dB. These improvements make the proposed method both robust and efficient, offering an alternative solution for DOA estimation in intricate and demanding environments.
